Concept: ReCinema 3.1: New Ground was my senior thesis installation gallery show that explores the concept of synesthesia and its relationship to cinema. Through a series of immersive installations that combine sound and color sensations, the project expands the language of cinematic possibilities, creating unexpected compositions that challenge traditional notions of linear and sequential storytelling.
Goal: The goal of this project was to push the boundaries of cinema and create a multi-sensory experience that would engage and challenge audiences. By incorporating elements of synesthesia, I aimed to explore new ways of storytelling that would expand the language of cinema and create a deeper connection between the viewer and the art.
Outcomes: The final installation gallery show was a success, showcasing a series of immersive installations that brought together sound and color in unexpected ways. The project received positive feedback from audiences and was praised for its innovative approach to storytelling and its ability to engage and challenge viewers. ReCinema 3.1: New Ground was showcased at the Ildiko Butler Gallery at Fordham University Lincoln Center and was a highlight of the senior thesis program.
